Natalie’s debut collection with Washington Green Fine Art/Castle Galleries draws on her three biggest inspirations; nature, jewellery and fashion. She says:
“I love creating mysterious ghostly portraits, and previously I created a set of portraits that were inspired by forces and elements of nature: storm, snow, ice. Nature plays big part in my work: flowers, skies, wind, animals and insects… all can be always found in my illustrations.
My other passion is antique jewellery. Victorian or Art Deco designs always keep me in awe.
And my third biggest inspiration is fashion – from modern to historical costumes, including head pieces and wigs.
In this collection I just had to combine all my three inspirations in one art piece.”
Her new collection is inspired by gemstones, rare products of nature which have inspired philosophers and mystics for centuries. Each of the pieces represents a different precious gemstone.
